Closeboard fencing, commonly known as "Featheredge" are made from wooden feather edge boards, each slightly overlapped vertically and fixed to rear horizontal supporting rails called "arris rails". This style of fencing is usually erected upwards to 6ft. They offer fantastic privacy and security and are far more robust than the cheaper waney panels. The posts can also be topped to your specification should you want something different to the standard fence post top and the panels are pressure Treated to provide protection against rot and fungal decay for years. You may also need to use concrete or wooden gravel boards at the base of your fence which will vary in price depending on what you are looking for.
